TERM OF OFFICE
The editor of the Mid-Atlantic Archivist, the newsletter of MARAC, is appointed by the MARAC Chair, and serves for two years. The editor is eligible for reappointment to an unlimited number of terms.
DUTIES AS SPECIFIED BY THE MARAC CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
Coordinates the quarterly publication of the Mid-Atlantic Archivist (MAA).
Selects for publication articles and items relevant to MARAC by soliciting news and information from the Steering Committee and Caucus Chairs for submission to the Mid-Atlantic Archivist. The deadlines for submission are February 15, May 15, August 15, and December 1.
Works with the MAA Assistant Editor in editing and designing the MAA.
Coordinates with Caucus Chairs on including State news in the Mid-Atlantic Archivist.
Works with section editors to maintain coverage of specific areas of interest to the MARAC membership.
Works with the advertising editor to ensure an adequate level of additional funding for the Mid-Atlantic Archivist.
Establishes editorial policy with Steering Committee approval.
Serves as a member of the MARAC Publications Committee.
Performs other duties as assigned by the MARAC Chair.
